One of the hallmarks of ISP's involvement in the community is our student volunteer service that can assist local organizations and healthcare facilities in the effort of staffing clinical events with clinically trained volunteers at no cost. ISP is happy to coordinate the scheduling of phlebotomists, medical assistants, laboratory assistants, or EKG technicians to work in community outreach events or assist with special screenings or community health education. Our students have volunteered for various organizations over the years, performing specimen collection, vitals collection, health education, or running point of care tests.

Not only do students provide a valuable resource in nonprofit work because of their training and willingness to volunteer, they also gain irreplaceable experience that they will carry with them throughout their careers.
